Policy for Locks Sailing Club Junior Dinghies 2009
Locks have currently have four small dinghies for the use of Club members.
Two of these are Toppers, one obtained by a grant from the John Merricks Fund.
The third is an RS FEVA, which was obtained with a grant from the British Marine
Federation following a successful submission by one of our junior members. This
is two-handed boat for use by juniors, particularly but not exclusively those
with disabilities or learning difficulties that are not competent in single
handers.
The fourth is a Graduate which is a two handed Dinghy. This has been donated to
the Club by Brian Davis (Bosun). As gratitude for his kind donation he has given
the right to use the boat on non Junior Event Days.
The use of these boats for juniors at our Junior Evenings or Junior Events will
be at the direction of the Hon Sailing Secretary or the Club Member in charge
for the event.
These Junior Dinghies are available at other times for Club Junior Members to
borrow with a £12 fee payable, which will go toward the maintenance and
replacement fund for these boats. To arrange the use of these dinghies outside
